La Foret Wedding Colorado Springs | Our Wedding Day |

La Foret Wedding Colorado Springs

Our summer La Foret Wedding Colorado Springs was a day we’ll always remember. An outdoor ceremony with views of Pikes Peak and a rustic cabin reception completed my vision of a mountain wedding.  wBrandon and I got married on June 22, 2019 at La Foret outside of Colorado Springs. 5.5 years of being together and several years of long distance and months apart led us to this day. We had 75 of our closest friends and family there to celebrate with us. Brandon’s family and my family had never met or been in the same place at the same time before, so that was awesome. Our wedding was a destination wedding for everyone except Brandon and I. I had family and friends come from New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, and Colorado. Brandon’s family came from Atlanta, Ohio, Florida, and South Carolina.

The day of our wedding it had been in the forecast to rain all day and did so for a few hours. Once I arrived to the venue to get dressed and do my first look with Brandon, the rain stopped and the sun started to come out. All I really wanted was to have our ceremony outside and to get our outdoor photos done. God somehow allowed us to do that. My vendor team worked so incredibly hard to get everything ready despite the rainy situation in the hours before the ceremony. And everyone way out did my expectations! I was seriously blown away by how everything looked and especially by my bouquet and my arch. My wedding wouldn’t have come together or been possible without the help of my parents, especially my mom. She’s always my go-to when it came to making decisions on things.

One of my fears about having a wedding is that I would get too emotional and cry the entire day because anything sentimental or emotional usually gets the tears going. I was actually the opposite and mostly held it together until my sister’s speech. Brandon is the one who cried during our first look and ceremony. Shocking, I know! I also assumed I would cry walking down the aisle with my Dad and honestly we found things to laugh about while we watched everyone walk down and we didn’t make a big deal about when he first saw me ( so helpful!). Another key for me was keeping my eye on the mountains ahead and not looking at people as I walked down the aisle or stood up there because I would have lost it.

Once we said our vows and walked down the aisle, the rest of the night flew by! We enjoyed dinner and then spent the night dancing and hanging out with family and friends. I had my chocolate wedding cake too and it was delicious. The day went by way too fast, but I wouldn’t have it go any other way. The whole time while planning our wedding my main goal was for everyone to hang out , eat, and enjoy their time in Colorado. I think we were successful with that! It truly was one of my favorite days ever!
