Emily & Michael’s Denver Wedding at The Manor House was a joyful, bright day! Their vibrant florals truly represented the love and happiness felt by everyone there. One of my favorite things about The Manor House that views offer the best of both worlds. To the west you have rolling grassy hills and to the northeast you can see the Denver city skyline.
Emily and Michael met 6.5 years ago when they were working as lifeguards. Michael proposed to Emily in February 2019 during a Disney Princess Half-Marathon at Disney World! Such a dream for these two since they both love running races and staying active together. In their questionnaire Emily said they are most looking forward to all the adventures they’ll take as a married couple.
One unique thing Emily and Michael did at their wedding was holding their toasts outside. It’s common at weddings to do toasts after dinner and while everyone is seated at their table. Emily and Michael did toasts outside of The Manor House and everyone gathered around to listen. I thought this was a fun way to change up toasts!
You’ll also notice that they actually smashed cake into each other’s faces during their cake cutting! Majority of the time couples tend to be nice to one another and gently feed the cake. Not these two!
Prior to Emily & Michael’s wedding we did an engagement session at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Engagement sessions are always a great way for me and the couple to get to know one another before the day of the wedding. It’s also a good test run to know what poses work best for you two and to also find out what isn’t your favorite.
