If you’re planning your Colorado engagement session, luckily there are an overwhelming amount of incredible places to choose from. As a Colorado engagement photographer, I have a list of favorite areas for engagement sessions that I’m sharing in this post!
***One thing I must mention is that most locations in Denver, Boulder, and RMNP require photographer permits! If you’re a photographer, please do your part in researching beforehand and purchasing a permit.
Since I’m a Colorado Springs based photographer, I have several go-to local spots I love to use. Garden of the God is an iconic attraction in central Colorado Springs. It’s one of my most popular locations for engagement sessions in Colorado Springs. The red rocks and views of Pikes Peak in the background can’t be beat. Maybe red rocks aren’t your thing? There are plenty of other views in Colorado Springs to choose from. Check out these local sessions:
If you’re wanting a mountain feel for your Denver engagement photos, but don’t want to drive an extra hour into the mountains then you’re in luck! On the outskirts of west Denver, lie several locations for a mountain engagement session. The location pictured is one of my favorite spots near I-70.

Planning a mountain engagement session in Boulder is also easy with Chautauqua Park. The location pictured above is a popular spot for locals and tourists to check out when in Boulder. You can get a “in the trees” feel, but it also offers incredible views from different lookout points. Near this location is a beautiful grassy field with the foothills in the background too.

Rocky Mountain National Park is the ultimate location for your Colorado engagement photos. The park offers several locations that offer different looks. For example, Moraine Park has a wide grassy meadow with a stream through it. Bear Lake gives gorgeous mountain lake views. Those are only two of several spots throughout RMNP.

The magic of the mountains in Breckenridge and Vail always takes my breath away. There are various locations through these mountain towns that will provide the perfect views for your mountain engagement session in Colorado. It’s hard to narrow them down for this post! The pictures above are from a popular session location near Lake Dillon!
